Mental Health First Aid – Virtual Course

Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This 8-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. Please note that registration does not guarantee a spot in the course.

Course Format:

Participants must complete 2 hours of self-paced training prior to the course date, which will be sent via email 2 weeks prior. Please check Spam, if not received.

The 5.5-hour portion of the course is a small group-interactive training. Participants will join via Zoom and should be prepared to be present and actively engaged for the whole course.

Technology Requirements for Virtual Trainings:

-Computer with microphone and speakers
-HD webcam
-Internet speed of at least 5mbps. Test your internet speed at https://www.speedtest.net/
