
Adult Mental Health First Aid – Wood River
About this course:
Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This 7.5-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
Course Format:
Participants must complete 2 hours of self-paced training prior to the course date, which will be sent via email 2 weeks prior.
The 5.5-hour portion of the course is a small group-interactive training. Participants will join in-person at Amare, NFP in Wood River IL and should be prepared to be present and actively engaged for the whole course.
