About this course:

Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This 7.5-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Course Format:

Participants will REGISTER and then join us at the Wood River Police Station from 8am – 5pm.

The 7.5-hour portion of the course is a small group-interactive training. Participants  should be prepared to be present and actively engaged for the whole course. The course is scheduled for 9 hours to account for scheduled breaks.
